Randy Welborn

Jigsaw Puzzles created from the Art of Randy Welborn.

He began the "Moments to Remember " series in 1983 with Evening at the Jefferson , the magical movie palace of his youth in hometown Beaumont, Texas circa 1955. Each scene takes you back to not only a certain year, but also to a particular day. It may be graduation day Dragging the Circle , going to a Roy Rogers film with grandpa at the Liberty Theatre in Christmas Corner or celebrating the 4th of July, 1953 at the Carnation Ice Cream Shop .

Many months of extensive research is conducted before the first stroke of paint is applied, such as which movies were actually playing on that particular day. Randy's son, Bryan collaborated on several of the "Moments to Remember " series of paintings. Randy and Bryan have been featured in the magazines Reminisce and Down Memory Lane magazines and have also had artwork shown on two covers of Old Cars Weekly. The Welborn's have appeared on Bob Phillip's Texas Country Reporter television series.
