LIONEL TRAINS ROTARY BEACON No. 494
The Rotary Beacon No. 494 replaced the No. 394 Rotary Beacon in 1954. The main difference between the two is that the No. 494 used a vibrator coil, similar to what was used on the No. 3520 Searchlight Car, at the top instead of the heat of the lamp that was used previously to rotate the beacon.
